Electromagnetic Theory II (TET II)

The module Electromagnetic Theory comprises the subjects Electromagnetic Theory I and Electromagnetic Theory II. Expanding and deepening knowledge gained in Basics of Electrical Engineering and thus, providing a comprehensive understanding of electromagnetic field theory is the main target of this module. Mathematical descriptions of  electromagnetic  phenomena, as well as their physical interpretation, are the main aspects of the lectures.

 

Electromagnetic Theory II:

This subject is based on Electromagnetic Theory I. Originating from Maxwell's equations, electromagnetic fields and waves will be treated. Key issues are thereby:

  • Stationary electric flux field
  • Time-independent magnetic fields
  • Quasi-stationary fields
  • Dynamic electric and magnetic fields
  • Dynamic fields at high frequency, electromagnetic waves
  • Numerical methods for simulation of complex electromagnetic systems
