Characteristic Modes of Periodic Structures in Stratified Media Using the Method of Moments

Abstract

The presented work introduces the calculation of characteristic modes on periodic structures embedded in stratified media. Calculations are carried out utilizing the corresponding periodic Green's function. The calculation of the Green's function employs a three-step discrete complex image method and Ewald's theorem. Results are computed using an in-house method of moments solver.
