Argus Award for Lukas Berkelmann
Lukas Berkelmann received the Argus AWARD 2017 for his Master thesis. In his thesis, supervised by PhD student Steffen Probst, the influence of changing load impedances at the output port of efficient microwave power amplifiers was determined and a solution was implemented by an adaptive matching network. Dr. Geck, who is the head of the related research project praised in his eulogy the quality of the thesis.
"Zukunftsmobil" at Maker Faire Hannover
On the 27th of August the "Zukunftsmobil" of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science was supported by the Institute of Microwave and Wireless Systems again. The occasion was this time the Maker Faire at Hannover Congress Centre, the annual highlight for technophiles and creative minds. As seen at previous events the cute dinosaur robot named Pleo was the main attraction for many young visitors, but also the other technical exhibits such as a camera-based ...
Final colloquium SFB 653
On June 20 and 21 results of 12 years of research within the framework of the Collaborative Research Center 653 “Gentelligent components in their lifecycle” were presented at PZH campus in Garbsen. The motto of the event was “Production Technology on the Way to Industry 4.0”. Most of the institutes involved in this CRC 653 were of the department of mechanical engineering and department of electrical engineering. Many interesting presentations were held by members of the research project as well ...

14 - 17 January: Radio & Wireless Week 2018
The Radio & Wireless Week (RWW) takes place from 14th to 17th January 2018 in Anaheim, California. This event consists of five related conferences that focus on the intersection between wireless communication theory, systems, circuits, and device technologies. This creates a unique forum for engineers to discuss various technologies for state-of-art wireless systems and their end-use applications. Steffen Probst exhibits his paper “Investigation of the Dynamic Load Modulation of an I
